Brushes on the iPad: New Features
Steve Sprang, creator of Brushes, shares a preliminary list of Brushes enhancements for the iPad with fp.it.
Here’s what we can expect from the iPad ready version of the app:
- Up to 6 Layers (768×1024): reorder, merge, and adjust transparency
- Layer Blend Modes: Normal, Multiply, Screen, Overlay, and Color
- Support for swatches in the color panel
- Extremely responsive zooming from 50% to 3200%
- In-app replay of your paintings
- Upload your paintings directly to Flickr
Additional enhancements will appear in the updates, as app development will run a lot faster once the iPad is released…to the developers!
And, of course, we’ll keep you updated. 🙂
so, STAY TUNED…

Blend modes are a killer feature IMHO, I’ve been waiting for a multiply mode for layers in iPhone apps for a long time, they never came. Good stuff.

This is a dumb question, but what do all these new modes in layering do? I never did learn Photoshop beyond importing copy to it! Thanks!
